Whether the term means a river crossing in Madagascar or the Milan after work traffic is not decisive for this motorcycle boot test: a firm stance, robust shell and sensitivity for the pedals are required in both environments. Expensive equals good, cheap equals losers? In practice things are different. The (actually waterproof) cheap boot from Modeka does well, Touratech’s Destino, which is more than twice as expensive, can only convince moderately with its unusual concept, but weaknesses in the wet test. Top quality, on the other hand, absolutely justifies the high price from the test winner Daytona, while the relatively cheap but weak hero is hardly worth the money. It is best to think about the intended use before buying, choose a model and try on yourself.
