2006 Buell XB-12 S LIGHTNING

The XB-12 S follows the same pattern as the smaller XB-9 siblings. This is an XB-12 R which benefits from some specific improvements: identical chassis and engine but removal of the fork crown (replaced by two nasty little headlights and a mini windshield) and raised driving position. We have in our hands a funny ultra-compact machine, we do not know if it is a roadster or a supermotard, but it takes the best of both categories. In addition to being agile as an imp, it gives its piloting an unparalleled ability to turn, superior to the XB-12 R thanks in particular to its position and its higher handlebars, while remaining imperatively stable. We have the impression of turning around the steering column while the machine digests the bend and laughs. The mechanics are generous but the brilliant chassis would accept without problem and even happily a modern sports machine. Only, Buell is 95% owned by Harley-Davidson. She keeps an inimitable taste: that of America.
