Face to face Honda CB 1000 R – Yamaha FZ1: duel among the 1000 !
For almost three years now, the Yamaha FZ1 has reigned supreme in the 1000 cc sporty roadster category. But it must now deal with the very sharp Honda CB 1000 R … and it is not won! Face to face: comparative test.
Too easy, too effective ?
We have to admit that the new Honda CB 1000 R is a real success! We’re not going to complain that the bride is too beautiful … but the Honda is almost "too" efficient by bringing a new level of ease and performance to the greatest number. And this is perhaps its main "fault": it is an exhilarating machine not to be put in all hands. !
We can finally blame it for a more linear engine than demonstrative and a very discreet sound. If these arguments are important to you, then maybe you will prefer the FZ1: its explosive 4-cylinder in the towers and the angry and cavernous sound of its exhaust remain its main assets, along with its pit bull look! But within the editorial staff of Site, this is not enough to legitimize its 500 euros more than the Honda !
