A few more horses in 2006 for the top-of-the-range version of the RSV-R. It benefits from the same engine improvements as the standard R, namely new electronic management, new exhaust valves and 5 hp more. As always, it only makes the difference by its chassis and certain refinements such as carbon parts..
Fully suspended by Ohlins Racing elements, the RSV-R Factory also has a double-chamber steering damper from the same brand. The frame is painted a light golden color, as if to ensure a continuity of this color from one end of the rims to the other. These are forged aluminum wheels, 25% stronger and lighter than cast aluminum models. To this has been added since 2007 a modification of the exhaust tips, now ovalized. Descending to 185 kg dry, the latest generation RSV-R today weighs the same as the ultra high-end version of a few years ago: the RSV 1000 SP (a gem reserved for the Superbike).
