Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory at EICMA

Superbike with 217 hp

Aprilia has increased its super sports car RSV4 in displacement to 1,100 cm³ and thus brought it to 217 hp. The new Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory will celebrate its premiere at the EICMA in Milan.

The performance race among the super athletes never ends beyond the 200 hp threshold. A.prilia presents the RSV4 1100 Factory at the EICMA, which should bring it to an incredible 217 hp at 13,200 rpm and 122 Nm at 11,000 rpm.

Increased displacement

In order to climb the new heights of performance, Aprilia has increased the bore of the four-cylinder from 78 to 81 mm and thus the displacement to 1,078 cm³. For this purpose, the engine speed limit was raised to 13,600 rpm and the engine management was adjusted. A modified oil pump is supposed to ensure stability and stable thermals. An extended fifth and sixth gear is intended to lower the speed level at high speeds. The V4 is allowed to exhale through a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic.

For the chassis, Aprilia relies on 3 mm thicker triple trees with an offset offset by 2 mm. This reduces the overall wheelbase by 4 mm. At the front there is a new Ohlins NIX fork with 5 mm more travel (125 mm). The Swedes also contribute the fully adjustable TTX shock absorber and the adjustable steering damper. The aluminum swing arm should be designed to be even more rigid. There was also an upgrade for the front brake, where Brembo Stylema calipers replace the M50 calipers and can be combined with carbon air ducts.

Of course, the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory can also set itself apart visually from its sister models. Derived from the GP circus, the cladding has carbon wing elements on the sides, which are supposed to generate more downforce. Otherwise, black (matt and glossy) panels made of carbon fiber and forged black aluminum wheels dominate the appearance.

With a full tank, the RSV4 1100 Factory weighs 199 kilograms and remains just under the 200-kg barrier. Aprilia did not want to reveal what the new rocket should cost and when it will be available.
