Travel enduros put to the test
KTM 1290 Super Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Ducati Multistrada 950 and BMW R 1200 GS Rallye do extremely well in the mountains – and are therefore much more common than marmots and edelweiss.
Statistically speaking, roughly every fourth motorcycle sold is currently a travel enduro. If you watch the endless stream of motorbikes squeezing between the souvenir stands and snack bars over the hill at the top of the Stelvio Pass, you might come to the conclusion: the remaining three quarters have stayed in the valley. The rustic multitools are clearly the favorite of the alpine biker. The Adventure Bikes category is correspondingly high at the Alpen Master 2017. Which bike can win the comparison and make it to the final? KTM 1290 Super Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT, Ducati Multistrada 950 or BMW R. 1200 GS rally?
