Alpinestars GP Plus R: Sporty gloves tried out

Alpinestars GP Plus R
Tried sporty gloves

The Alpinestars GP Plus R would rather convince sporty drivers. How does the glove perform in the first test?

If things are going to be sporty, reliable quality and a snappy fit are a must. No problem for the GP Plus R from Alpinestars, although he takes the tight fit a little too seriously: our tester usually wears M or L, for the GP Plus R he chooses XL.

Hard plastic parts sometimes press

In size XL, the glove sits very comfortably thanks to the supple leather, but sometimes the hard plastic parts press uncomfortably on the phalanx. The ventilation is unfortunately only very weakly noticeable at country road speed despite the perforation.

Noticed positively: Supple leather, solid workmanship, tight fit

Noticed negatively: Turns out small, ventilation rather poor

Sizes: S to 3XL

Price: 199.95 euros

MOTORRAD verdict: 3.5 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

In the first test, the supple leather, the solid workmanship and the tight fit scored points. The rather poor ventilation was noticed negatively. The Alpinestars GP Plus R is available in sizes S to 3XL from 199.95 euros.
