The history of this family begins with the 1999 model year: the first Aprilia RSV Mille had a 60-degree V2 Rotax engine and delighted the world of sports drivers with, among other things, its unshakable chassis and outstanding workmanship. The Tuono followed a little later in 2004 as a discreetly disguised naked bike with a lot of power and a chassis that could satisfy the most athletic ambitions.

When Aprilia upgraded its super sports car to a V4 engine in 2009 and thus won three drivers ‘and four manufacturers’ titles in the Superbike World Championship since 2010, its naked offshoot was not long in coming. Because he couldn’t care less about displacement limits in any racing series, his V4 engine was even allowed to compete with just under 1100 cc.
