With the Chaser-X in Hutchy design delivers Arai The right racing hat for all fans of the Isle of Man and of the racer Ian Hutchinson, who was able to achieve numerous victories on the high-speed street circuit. The extent to which the helmet contributed to this is not that easy to determine, but the Chaser-X leaves a fine impression even in this way.

Changing the visor is a bit more complex

The helmet, which weighs 1655 grams in size L, slips sucking and smacking on the head, does not press, does not wobble, it just fits perfectly. The two-way adjustable ventilation on the chin works effectively, just like the ventilation on the top of the head. The Chaser-X is also equipped with a Pinlock inner visor to prevent fogging.

As is typical for Arai, changing the visor is logical, but a bit more complex, as the side visor covers always have to be removed. Another typical feature of the sporty Arai helmets is that the visor cannot always be opened immediately when it is closed with thick gloves. In addition, there is a lack of meaningful visor positions. Commendable: the speaker bags and the exchangeable upholstery.

Noticed positively: Great fit, large field of vision

Noticed negatively: Weight, small everyday weaknesses

Sizes: XS to 3XL

Price: 669.00 euros

MOTORCYCLE Rating: 4 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

The Arai Chaser-X Hutchy was able to convince us in the practical test with its comfortable fit and large field of vision. The full-face helmet shows weaknesses in terms of weight. In addition, it is not necessarily a bargain at 669.00 euros.
