Keanu Reeves builds motorcycles

Keanu Reeves is a partner in Arch Motorcycles, a motorcycle manufacturer in Southern California. The prominent entree doesn’t need that at all, because the motorcycles that were presented at EICMA in Milan last year speak for themselves. Now there are more details about one of the three models.

A.Arch Motorcycles presented two new models called Method 143 and 1S at EICMA 2017, albeit without revealing any great details. This has changed now. The US manufacturer has now published some new information and pictures about the Method 143 model. In 2015, Arch presented the KRGT-1, its very first model, which could be examined in a revised form at EICMA 2017.

Forward thinking and development skills are two of the pillars on which Arch Motorcycle rests. This resulted in the carbon monocoque of the Arch Method 143, of which exactly 23 copies are to be produced. The design concept and the high-quality handcrafted finish include components made of leather, carbon and CNC-milled aluminum.

The Arch Method 143 owes its model name to the 143 cui, i.e. 2,343 cm³ V2 engine, which is said to produce almost 171 hp. The single-sided swing arm was CNC-milled at Suter, the Ohlins fork was redesigned to meet the special requirements of the Arch Method 143. The shape and design of the titanium / carbon exhaust system are based on MotoGP racing motorcycles. The wheels of the Arch 143 are also made of carbon, designed by Arch and manufactured by BST. Arch Motorcycles chose the Michelin Power RS ​​for the tires. LED lighting is also included. Arch Motorcycles is still silent about the start of production and pricing.

Arch KRGT-1

The company presented the first Arch KRGT-1 in 2015. It was designed as a tailor-made, high-performance cruiser that can handle both an aggressive and a relaxed, touristy driving style. The latest revision for 2018 places particular emphasis on ergonomic improvements. In addition, the fork (now Ohlins FGRT) and the brakes (now available with ABS) have been changed. The Arch also meets the Euro4 requirements.

Arch KRGT-1.

A 124 V2 engine pulsates inside it. I beg your pardon? Yes, 124 cui (cubic inches), i.e. 2,032 cm³. A steel frame and a CNC-milled rear frame made of light metal keep all components in place. The 5-spoke wheels were made by the carbon specialist BST. Footrests can be mounted in the center or ordered forward. In general, Arch has made it a point to tailor each KRGT-1 individually for its customers. Prices?

Arch 1S

The Arch 1S is the first motorcycle from the manufactory that has its rear wheel with a single-sided swing arm. It is based on the KRGT-1, but is influenced by motorsport and therefore offers a more aggressive driver posture without completely leaving the power cruiser base.

CNC-milled aluminum and generously used carbon flow in the lines of this elegant and equally sporty motorcycle. The engine and frame are largely identical to the KRGT-1, but the 1S has 7-spoke carbon wheels, which were also manufactured by BST. ABS is available, Euro4 meets them. Arch would like to announce when and for how much money it will be available.
