Ares Design BMW R nineT

Retro bike is becoming even more classic

The Italian design company Ares Design actually redesigns cars. Now the Italians have converted their first motorcycle – a BMW R nineT that is becoming even more classic.

With the R. nineT has hit BMW with the times. Nevertheless, the Bavarian retro boxer is finding more and more friends who want to make the motorcycle even more individual. Now the Italian design company Ares Design has tried its hand at the BMW.

Like in the 60s

The aim was to give the two-cylinder the look of the 60s. For this purpose, a new, larger tank was first developed. The carbon fuel tank was fitted with side knee cushions made of quilted leather. The entire rear frame was omitted. A leather suspension seat has been adapted for the driver.

The rear suspension has also been completely turned inside out. Ohlins stereo struts replace the original mono strut and the license plate moves, supported on the swing arm, to the end of a long arm behind the rear wheel. For the wheels themselves, Aes relies on wire-spoke rims from Kineo (19 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear), which are fitted with coarse-tread Continental TKC80 tires in a whitewall look.

Price from 50,000 euros

The license plate sits on a long swing arm.

The modern boxer was given valve covers in a retro look and open air filters. The fat elbows end in short megaphones on the left and right. Beringer six-piston brake calipers are designed to optimize the front brake system, while the bellows trim the fork to look retro.

There are also short aluminum fenders, LED lighting elements and lots of newly designed add-on parts such as notches, mirrors and levers made of black anodized aluminum. The retro look is completed by fine white lines on the black lacquer.

Only 25 of the Ares Design R nineT are to be built. The basic price is 50,000 euros. The production time should be 8 weeks from order.

Ares builds dreams

Ares Design from Modena sees itself as a modern coachbuilder, wants to implement customer wishes and make automobile and motorcycle dreams come true. Behind Ares Design is ex-Lotus top manager Dany Bahar, who mercilessly failed with the British with his expansion plans.
