Maffay and Maier, both signed the BMW personally.
Peter Maffay and MOTORRAD, that is a loose connection that goes back to 1985. Since then, the musician has repeatedly impressed with his private engagement both as a motorcyclist and as a person in the context of encounters for several portraits and reports in MOTORRAD. In favor of the Peter Maffay Foundation, which offers disadvantaged children and young people with facilities in Germany, Romania and Spain contact points and help (www.petermaffaystiftung.de), a BMW F 650 GS Dakar will be auctioned from December 8, 2017.
The red travel enduro was donated especially for the purpose by the four-time dirt track world champion Karl Maier from Neufinsing near Munich. The bike, known as robust and reliable, on which BMW dealer Maier grants a twelve-month guarantee, comes from the first series (first registration 2/2000), has 31,521 km, special red paint, is first-hand, accident-free, with a new TuV and as good as new Tires. Current value according to MOTORRAD estimates: around 3,000 euros. Ideal value? Open at the top.
The auction runs from December 8, 2017 to January 8, 2018 (end: 5 p.m.) on Europe’s largest charity auction portal www.unitedcharity.de. 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Peter Maffay Foundation. When the motorcycle is handed over to the highest bidder, Maffay and Maier will be there.
