The Benda Asura 400 Streetfighter is available in China in two versions: The entry-level model costs 27,800 yuan, which is the equivalent of around 3,550 euros. There is also a more generously equipped version at a price of 29,800 yuan, or around 3,800 euros. The production bike is pretty much the same as the concept that the manufacturer presented at the beginning of 2019.

Similarity to the KTM Dukes

The two parts of the headlight converge towards the bottom, which is somewhat reminiscent of the KTM Duke models. Viewed from the side, the Benda Asura 400 makes a very compact impression, which is emphasized by the short, upwardly curved rear and the short but wide muffler. LED lights shine all around, and an LC color display in the cockpit provides information.

The liquid-cooled in-line two-cylinder with 389 cm³ makes 36 HP and 32 Nm maximum torque. The naked bike should accelerate from a standing start to 100 km / h in seven seconds, the top speed is 160 km / h, while the transmission can be shifted through six gears.

A USD fork springs at the front, a central spring strut dampens at the rear. The front brake calipers bite into two discs, the rear is a single disc, ABS is standard. 16 liters fit into the tank, no information is yet available on the range and weight of the vehicle. The ground clearance is 150 mm millimeters.

Conclusion

There are also Chinese motorcycles in Germany, but we doubt whether the Benda Asura 400 will make it onto our market. We don’t really have a great need for 400s, and KTM 390 Duke and Kawasaki Z 400 are already available for this. It is possible that the naked bike will not only go on sale in China, but also in India. There it will compete against the KTM 390 Duke and the Bajaj Dominar 400, among others.
