With the Bogotto Brooklyn, FC Moto currently offers a classic leather jacket for comparatively little money. Can also convince in the practical test?

The cool Brooklyn motorcycle jacket by Bogotto shines from afar in its friendly brown. If you come closer and take a closer look, you ask yourself briefly whether this is really biker clothing – and that can be understood as a compliment.

Nice cut and good wearing comfort

The jacket is cut very well and is extremely comfortable to wear. Even in cool temperatures below ten degrees, the stylish, checkered lining keeps you warm enough. Of course, the cowhide leather, which is 1.1 to 1.3 millimeters thick and connected with safety seams, also plays a role in this. The included protectors also ensure safety: the protectors on the elbows and shoulders are level 2 certified. Unfortunately, the overlap of the latter between the shoulder bone and the collarbone turns out to be very tight. The supposed back protector also turns out to be a foam placeholder. So here the customer should upgrade himself.

In addition, the comfortable cotton cuffs on the sleeves should sit a bit tighter. In the event of a fall, these can easily slide up. Also not for everyone: the high-closing collar prevents a potential cold bridge, but the robust zipper ends at the level of the larynx. But enough grumbling: This jacket also cuts a fine figure off the bike, and some testers would consider it as evening wear. The jacket is currently available from fc-moto at a price of just under 170 euros. The Bogotto Brooklyn thus offers a splendid price-performance ratio.

Noticed positively: Good cut, great feel of the leather

Noticed negatively: Shoulder protectors are tight

Sizes: 46 to 60

Price: 329.95 euros (RRP)

MOTORRAD verdict: 3.5 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

The good cut, the great feel of the leather and the comparatively low price were convincing in the first test. The shoulder protectors, however, are tight.
