Brake specialist Brembo is presenting the new high-performance GP4-rr racing brake caliper and the new 16RCS Corsa Corta radial clutch pump at EICMA in Milan.

As the name suggests, the new GP4-rr brake caliper belongs to the GP4 family and is a monoblock caliper with a new design and new features right at the top. It was derived directly from the MotoGP brake calipers – accordingly, the GP4-rr is only intended for use on the racetrack.

The radially hinged brake calliper is milled from the solid aluminum block, the surfaces are then hard-anodized. The brake pistons are made of titanium with a diameter of 32 and 36 mm. They press on brake pads with an enlarged surface. The GP4-rr calipers come as a completely ready-to-assemble kit without brake pads. Calls prices Brembo but not yet.

The second innovation is the 16RCS Corsa Corta radial clutch pump, which is part of the RCS Corsa Corta family. The pump housing is milled out of a forged aluminum block and then tempered with a hard anodized surface. The 16 mm piston and seals come straight from the MotoGP shelves, the leverage is said to have been reduced to a minimum. The complete clutch kit should be available from March 2020. Again, no prices were given.

The Stylema R brake caliper was also presented at the EICMA as an update for the Stylema caliper, which is intended for use on supersport models and is already part of the original equipment. The pistons in the Stylema R saddle are provided with cross bores for even better heat dissipation. In addition, the central air discharge was optimized. The R version can be identified by two red stripes on the outside.

The Italians have developed a monoblock four-piston caliper with a 30-piston caliper especially for use on the new, large Harley models. The Harley saddle is attached radially and comes in a black finish with an organically round design.

Brembo will be presenting the PR19 radial brake pump with 16 mm pistons in a refreshed version at EICMA. This is now self-venting when connected to the expansion tank. The newly designed hand lever should be even more ergonomic and also lighter. Its width adjustment is now available in two versions. The brake light switch has also been revised and made smaller.
