A 150cc single-cylinder engine that produces a little less than 18 horsepower may not sound like the perfect formula for a groundbreaking show bike. Nevertheless, it serves as the basis for Honda’s new concept study, the Honda 150 SS Racer. Unveiled this week at the Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand, the SS Racer was made by Honda’s Thai Research & Development department implemented. In addition to the already impressive overall appearance, the wheels and tires used are particularly noticeable. Also noticeable: the camera attached to the rear.

The appearance of the new study is apparently similar to the design of the younger models and studies from Honda. Influences from models like the Honda CB 650 Cafe Racer, the Honda MSX 125 or the Honda X-ADV are unmistakable. The engine used in the Honda 150 SS Racer study is already used in the Honda CBR 150 R and Honda CB 150 Street Fire models, which are common in the Asian market. Should the concept study in a similar form ever be produced as a series model, the focus should also be on the Asian market. Such a motorcycle is unlikely to be of any interest for the European market. Externally, the Honda 150 SS Racer can still be seen.
