When recently presented in Crete Continental Trail Attack 3, a tire for potent travel enduros like an Africa Twin, GS, Multistrada and Co., the items durability and wet grip took up a lot of space in the presentation. When you look at the last enduro tire comparison test we carried out, it becomes clear why.

The new Trail Attack 3 from Continental is particularly suitable for larger travel enduros.

Improvements noticeable on the first test drive

While the predecessor Trail Attack 2 was able to play at the top of the country road ranking with second place out of six in the tire test at that time, it only ranks fifth and sixth in terms of wear and tear and in wet conditions. The current Trail Attack 3 is said to have wiped out these holes. According to Continental, as internal tests are said to have shown, it is now also setting the benchmark in these two points. Of course, without any losses in dry performance.

At least the last point can be confirmed after a long day of driving. The bikes can be chased easily and neutrally over Cretan roads of any condition, surface or radius. The Trail Attack 3 also gives you a good feeling on gravel passages. This year’s big tire test will provide information about the other two criteria. It starts in issue 12. But even a very good tire like this one has a natural enemy, as the author learned: the common nail.

Noticed positively: Egg-laying woolly milk sow

Noticed negatively: still not nail-proof

MOTORCYCLE Rating: 4.5 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

On the first test drive, the new Continental Trail Attack 3 was quite convincing. In the upcoming enduro tire comparison test, he still has to confirm the first good impressions.
