Curtiss Motorcycle lives from his extroverted designs and limited series. The latest addition to the American electrical kit is the Curtiss Hades 1 Pure as a further development of the recently introduced Hades.

Opposite the Hades, the torpedo-shaped battery pack was now also hung on the front of the new frame. The frame itself is more flat. The footrest retaining plates are also larger and also offer numerous possible variations for the notch positioning. Pedal controls do not have to be taken into account, as there are none on the electric motorcycle.

Technology from Hades

The electric motor sits directly on the pivot axis and drives the rear wheel via a toothed belt. At the front, the Hades 1 Pure takes the fork from the Hades according to the Hossack principle. The swing arm and fork are mostly made of carbon. The Hades 1 Pure can be ordered with a short or long wheelbase thanks to the adjustment options on its trailing arms. The steering geometry and the ground clearance also change accordingly. The height of the single seat can also be varied. It is decelerated with a disc brake on the front wheel. A rear brake is available as an option. The Hades 1 Pure rolls on 19-inch carbon rims.

Just like the Hades, the Hades 1 Pure, which weighs just under 180 kilograms, is fired by an electric motor with almost 100 hp peak and 50 hp continuous output. The maximum torque is specified as 200 Nm. Curtiss does not provide any information about the battery or the range.

Curtiss states that the base price for the Hades 1 Pure is $ 60,000 with a $ 1,500 deposit when ordering. The first machines are to be delivered before summer 2020.
