It is not known whether there is a German importer. The design of the fairing could come from Germany: the old BMW S1000 R seems related.

The Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Dayi Motor has chosen none other than all-father Odin to give its name to the top model E-Odin: a 125 with 210 kilometers range.

Now the question of what BMW did with the remainder of the old S1000 R lamp masks has also been answered: Probably sold to Dayin Motor. He sees the new E-Odin, the top model from the Chinese old S1000 R Confusingly similar at the front. Joking aside: BMW has no remaining stocks and if so, then they were definitely not sold to China. Nonetheless, the Asian homage designers from Dayin took some measure of the naked bike from Munich. Better copied well than badly made yourself: the Dayin E-Odin.

125 with range

Dayin specifies an impressive range of 210 kilometers for the new E-Odin. A battery with 7.2 kWh and a wheel hub motor with 6 kW or 8 PS should make it possible. It should accelerate the E-Odin to up to 100 km / h, the charging time is given as 10 hours on household electricity. In terms of performance, perfect for the A1 or 125 class. The E-Odin is already Euro 5-compliant and starts with an ABS.

Looks like a big one

Visually, the E-Odin from Dayin makes quite thick cheeks. In addition to the S1000-R front, the frame with the battery is fully wired and confidently designed in the look of a boxer engine with six cylinders. There is also a futuristically drawn spur on each side, reminiscent of a bend or the flux compensator. Proud stands “Trust” on the fake valve covers. Overall, the E-Odin is more reminiscent of a motorcycle from a video game.

The choice of tire dimensions also shows ambitions: 120/70 ZR17 at the front and a tire in size 180/55 ZR17 at the rear are generous for a 125cc. A rogue who believes the 210 km range could be topped with narrower tires. The front brakes are made by stately looking discs with axially mounted calipers, and a single disc at the rear decelerates. It is not known whether the motor charges the battery when braking. Dayin also thinks big with the approval for two people and the equipment variant ADV 2: It comes with a large luggage set, including a topcase.

Colors and availability

Dayin himself lists his model in a section “EU warehouse”, that is, models that are approved for the European market. Including a total of four E-Odin. The already mentioned ADV 2 in gray with luggage set, then three models without storage space in gray, red and blue. In Europe, the E-Odin is expected to cost around 4,500 euros, nothing is currently known about an importer and availability.

If so, then only a powerful electric motorcycle.

I can imagine an electric scooter for commuting and city traffic.

A small, agile electric moped is definitely fun.

None at all.

Conclusion

New, electric, China. The concept of the E-Odin works well. A comparatively large battery and a small but powerful motor could really be useful in urban use. Trust is written on the battery, we just believe in it.
