More displacement, more power – with the SMS 630, Husqvarna is relaunching the big supermoto single.

BMW Xmoto, Honda FMX 650, Suzuki DRZ 400 SM – they are all no longer with us, confirming a sobering insight: Supermoto singles are not necessarily trendy. The reason: The direct two-cylinder relationship wins with higher performance, better running smoothness and greater versatility. And yet: When it comes to ultimate maneuverability, technology reduced to the bare essentials and the highly concentrated driving experience that goes with it, then it still shines, the large-capacity Supermoto single.

Husqvarna wants to pass on exactly this flame with the SMS 630. The technical basis of this, of course, remains the SM 610 presented in 2005. A two-millimeter larger bore and, above all, a valve train with two overhead camshafts spice up the Italian, along with a few other modifications. Which is to be taken literally: While the 610 was already visually convincing, the newly styled plastic parts of the SMS appear even more harmonious and sporty.
