Fantic wants to return to the enduro and motocross sports at the highest level. Yamaha will provide support for this. A corresponding collaboration has now been announced at EICMA.

The Japanese support for the Italians is to be provided by the Yamaha subsidiary Motori Minarelli. That should Fantic 125 cc two-stroke engines as well as two and four-stroke engines with 250 cm³ displacement. In addition, Fantic is also supplied with chassis components. The collaboration that has now been initiated could also include other engines in the future.
The first models of this collaboration are already being shown in Milan. These include cross and enduro models with a 125 cm³ two-stroke engine and a 250 cc two-stroke crosser. In addition, the Italians show Supermoto variants with 50 and 125 cubic meters. Further 250 two- and four-stroke engines are already in development. All new Fantic models are designed, developed and built in Italy.

Top-class racing department
In order to achieve the motorsport goals, Fantic has secured the services of Jann Witteveen and Gaetano Cocco. Witteveen headed the racing department at Aprilia for many years, Cocco was responsible for enduro sports activities at Aprilia for a long time.
The models presented in Milan should go on sale from summer 2020. The prices are to be published soon. The new Fantic teams will start in the European Motocross Championship and the Enduro World Championship as early as January 2020.
