Traditional manufacturer Gaerne still produces at the original company location in Italy. In addition to cycling and casual shoes, he produces a wide range of motorcycle boots. The Prestige Gore-Tex clearly belongs to the touring category. The boot, which is already quite narrow when you look at it, proves to be anatomically well adapted when you put it on, feels more like a normal boot than a motorcycle boot. Only the surefootedness should be a bit bigger.

Good, first overall impression

On the processing side, the boot is solid: very neat, but not classy. Some of the material closures, seams and bonds are rustic. Fortunately, this does not change anything in terms of functionality and good equipment. High-quality cowhide meets flexible inserts on the instep and heel, a long zipper with Velcro cover, reflective inserts, padded shin, ankle protection and switch reinforcement.

In cool temperatures it is noticeable that the Prestige is not strongly insulated, which in turn makes it ideal for warmer days! The Gore-Tex membrane keeps your feet dry even in heavy showers and ensures sufficient breathability. The grippy sole and sufficient flexibility for a short walk complete the good overall impression.

Noticed positively: Processing, waterproof, fit

Noticed negatively: narrow sole, somewhat unsteady stance

Sizes: 37 to 48

Price: 209.90 euros

MOTORCYCLE Rating: 4 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

The Gaerne Prestige Gore-Tex touring boot makes a good overall impression. To be positively emphasized are the successful workmanship and the good fit. It also stayed dry in heavy rain showers. The sole is a bit narrow, however.
