On the Glemseck between Leonberg and Stuttgart, from 30.8. The Glemseck 101 motorcycle meeting took place until September 1st, 2013. MOTORRAD was there – and brought back beautiful pictures.

From August 30th to September 1st the 8th round of “Glemseck 101” took place on the former Solitude GP race track between Stuttgart and Leonberg.

More motoric variety is hardly conceivable
For connoisseurs, the event is Germany’s most colorful motorcycle meeting, open-branded, extremely relaxed, with a lot of spirit. All kinds of types were represented again – on two wheels and two legs.
More engine variety is hardly conceivable: From the single-cylinder Honda Dream 50 to the eight-cylinder Boss Hoss. Or should it be a Munch Mammut, a Norton twin or a Triumph triple? At Glemseck 101 you can and can count on anything. It is also the most important event for the cafe racer scene in this country. In addition, there was authentic rockabilly music in the evening. Tone in tone. And all for free and outside.

MOTORRAD editor against TT drivers
Various sprint races over the eighth mile on Saturday and Sunday provided a real thrill. Test editor Thomas Schmieder competed against TT driver Conor Cummins in the Sprint International on Saturday – and lost. On Sunday his colleague Schmieder had to face Guy Martin in the Classic Racer Sprint – and lost. In the final, TT star Nina Prinz faced – and lost.
“Glemseck 101, that stands for motorcycles and riders with character,” says organizer Jorg Litzenburger. “We welcome all types and personalities. The highlight at Glemseck, however, are traditionally pure motorcycles, real, individual driving machines: bobbers and old-school conversions, young timers, scramblers and roadsters. “
The Concept 90 could be admired at the BMW stand: the attempt to reinterpret the most beautiful BMW of the post-war period in a modern way. The study was not only allowed to exhibit, it was also moved: In the 101 Show Rund, it competed against the Tridays 13 from Walzwerk Racing – and lost.
Many motorcycle brands, dealers and tuners showed their products at Glemseck 101 and invited to test drives and demonstrations. The MOTORRAD editorial team was also represented with an information stand.

The 101st Saturday stands with its two sprints 101 Cafe Racer Sprint 32 and 101 Sprint International entirely dedicated to the Cafe Racer. There will also be three 101 show runs – with internationally known motorcycles.

• 2.30 p.m .: 101 Sprint International – »32 drivers – 32 international motorcycles«

• 5.30pm to 6.30pm: Jury selection Best Cafe Racer 101 – Location: 101 Cafe Racer Village
From 5 to 6 p.m. Guy Martin and Nina Prinz will give an autograph session at the Suzuki stand.

• 6 pm: Moderation and welcome and record hop
• 6.30pm: The Hidden Charm, Rockabilly
• 7.15 p.m .: Awarding of the Best Cafe Racer 101
• 8:00 pm: Les Quitriche, French sixties beat

• 2 pm: 101 Classic Racer Sprint, 32 riders – 32 classic bikes• approx. 3:30 pm: Suzuki stunt show with freestyle rider Dominik Csauth
• approx. 3:45 pm: 101 guest sprints StarrWars – 16 drivers – 16 rigid frames. The show at the end – organized by Rolf Reick / Krautmotors
