For 2020, the CVO Road Glide, a luxury touring machine, which is produced in limited numbers, complements the portfolio of bikes from the Harley-Davidson “Custom Vehicle Operations” program (CVO). There will also be two “special editions” in the USA.

The Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide appears as an exclusively equipped travel machine with numerous driver assistance systems. The equipment includes heated grips, a gearshift and brake pedal, a two-part tank console with illuminated CVO logo, a special paint finish in Premium Sand Dune and numerous chrome-plated attachments.

The CVO Road Glide rolls onto the streets on exclusive knockout wheels with seven double spokes – 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear. The frame-fixed Sharknose cladding with stub disk, integrated infotainment system and double LED headlights is extended towards the keel with side cladding elements.

The assistance systems include ABS cornering with electronic brake force distribution, traction control and anti-slip regulation. Bike, rider and cloud can network with each other via LTE module and Bluetooth technology.

For the drive, the CVO Road Glide relies on the 1,923 cm³ Milwaukee-Eight 177-V2, which has 106 hp and 171 Nm of torque. This should allow the travel machine to accelerate up to 175 km / h. The basic price for Germany is given as 40,995 euros. The CVO Road Glide should be available from March 2020.

Two own “special editions” for the USA

At the beginning of March 2020, Harley-Davidson also announced that it would be launching two more “Special Edition” versions of the Road Glide in the USA. In principle, however, these are more like two new color variants.

The two special editions for the USA cost an extra $ 1,900.

The “Special” Harleys, which are limited to 750 in the USA, are sometimes available in “Billiard Red / Stone Washed White” and “Billiard Blue / Stone Washed White”. A graphic based on the USA flag can also be seen on the tank of both model variants. Compared to the standard model, the two limited-edition Harleys cost an extra $ 1,900 in the USA.
