Harley-Davidson Electra Guild Revival
New special models from Harley

Harley-Davidson continues to expand the lucrative special edition line of business. The Icons Collection is a series of special models and the Electra Guild Revival is the starting signal.

the Harley-Davidson Icons Collection makes its debut with the introduction of the limited Electra Glide Revival: there will only be 1,500 pieces. Price: 29,995 euros in Germany. Not much more expensive than a comparable Street Glide Special 114. In the photo show, the new Revival is next to the other current Big Twin models from 2021.

2021 meets 1969

The Electra Glide Revival is inspired by the Electra Glide from 1969, which at that time could be optionally equipped with a batwing fairing for the first time. Also a homage to this vintage: the cladding and the cases were only available as white fiberglass parts, the Revival adopts this stylistic device. The status of the special model is underlined by only one available, unique paintwork, based on the original color scheme of 1969: the tank is two-tone in hi-fi blue and black denim, separated by a stripe in birch white. Hi-Fi Blue also carry the fenders and the side covers.

“In our extremely fast-moving times, we humans are all permanently subject to changes”, says Brad Richards, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Styling and Design. “The Electra Glide Revival is like a quiet oasis in this hectic era. It brings the original Harley-Davidson DNA, which laid the foundation for the Grand American Touring, to life.”

Another unique selling point of the Electra Glide Revival is a solo saddle with black and white cover and chrome railing. It was mounted on a shock absorber with an adjustable coil spring – you guessed it – as a further homage to the Harley-Davidson FL models of the 1960s and to increase comfort in 2021. Chrome-plated cross-spoke wheels and wide whitewall tires also contribute to the nostalgic look, as does the shiny chrome layer on the front fender and trunk trim, “fan”-Air filter cover, the fork tube covers and the auxiliary headlights – design that captivates the eye.

Modern technology

The engine that drives the E-Gilde Revival is not from 1969. Harley trusts the proven Milwaukee-Eight in the 114 ci variant: 1,868 cubic meters with 158 Nm at 3,250 tours and 94 hp at 5,250 rpm. Four-valve heads, injection, double ignition and 6-speed gearbox are on board. The same goes for the large safety package for Harley’s tourers – RDRS Safety Enhancements – a state-of-the-art collection of banking-sensitive systems for the partially integrated ABS and traction control, enhanced by Hill-Hold-Control for more relaxed starting up on inclines. Another typical Milwaukee tourer: The Boom! Box GTS system with touchscreen controls, integrated speakers and its own navigation system, optionally controllable by voice, is also on board and, incidentally, did not exist in 1969.

Icon Collection

Harley-Davidson launches the Icons Collection with the Electra Glide Revival. A special edition – similar to the CVO models – that will be expanded annually in the future. The limited models take up classic Harley-Davidson designs or ideas for the future of motorcycle design. As part of the Icons Collection, Harley-Davidson will present one or two models each year that will be exclusively manufactured in that year. The production of such a model will neither be continued nor restarted afterwards. Every motorcycle in the Icons Collection is provided with a serial number and a certificate of authenticity.
