Honda CRF 450L Rally at EICMA
Rally replica for everyone
As a complete surprise, Honda presented a CRF 450L Rally at its EICMA stand. Official information is still missing, but the bike looks like a rally replica for sale.
I.In October Honda presented the normal CRF 450L, now the small sport enduro is available in a rally version at the EICMA. Honda is planning a basic rally machine for everyone?
Basic rally model for sale
The exhibition motorcycle looks like a mixture of series CRF and their competition version. The high windshield in front of a tower made of a speedometer, a 5-inch TFT screen and additional displays make the bike suitable for rallies. The single cylinder is allowed to exhale through a raised Termignoni rear silencer with a low-lying manifold. The tank flaps, which are pulled down far at the sides (total capacity: 20 liters) – each with its own tank cap – connect to a mighty carbon engine protection pan. A large tool box can be found under the right rear side cover – an additional tank could be placed here later.
KTM has already done it
Otherwise, the CRF 450L Rally carries standard mirrors, standard indicators, a license plate holder and an obviously standard chassis.
Presumably Honda wants to test customer interest in a buyable rally replica with this motorcycle at the EICMA. Competitor KTM recently brought its 450 rally replica to rally fans in a quantity of 75 and at prices starting at 26,000 euros (plus tax).
