Recall for mini electric crossers

A missing component can lead to an increased risk of fire in the identical mini electric crossers from KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas.

The KTM Group has to recall electrically powered mini crossers from the corporate brands KTM, GasGas and Husqvarna worldwide. The identical models are affected KTM SX-E5, Husqvarna EE5 and GasGas MC-E5 from model year 2021. The electric crossers are not approved for road use. It is not known how many vehicles are affected by the recall.

Increased fire risk

If the vent valve is missing, water can enter the battery. This can result in a fire. This emerges from a corresponding notice from the European Commission.

Owners of such models are asked to contact the dealers. There the vent valve is checked and retrofitted if necessary. The manufacturer calculates a maximum of around 35 minutes for the workshop visit.

How do you feel about recall?

It’s annoying, but ultimately I benefit from it as a customer.

I feel insecure and I lose confidence in the technology / the manufacturer.
