Husqvarna had already shown a new concept study at EICMA 2017: the Husqvarna Svartpilen 701. The series model was now presented at EICMA 2018.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 interprets the line of its sister model Vitpilen in a much more relaxed, but no less special way. Just note the consistently cut off pillion seat. Technically, the Svartpilen comes up with the Vitpilen’s single cylinder and thus brings 75 HP and 72 Nm into the field. An A2 version with 45 hp is also available.
With the high and wide handlebars and an unladen weight of 158.5 kilograms, the Svartpilen promises magical cornering sensations and breathtaking driving dynamics. The Single sits in a tubular steel frame with a 43 mm USD fork at the front and a WP shock absorber with deflection at the rear. The spring travel is 150 millimeters.
Svartpilen with a rough tire tread
The slightly clumpy Pirelli MT60 RS tire profiles in the dimensions 110 / 80-18 and 160 / 60-17 indicate, despite the cast wheels, a conception based on the scrambler. At the front a single 320 disc decelerates with four-piston pliers, behind a 240 disc with single-piston pliers.
The seat height is 835 mm, the tank capacity is 12 liters. The lighting is based on LED technology, the cockpit on a round TFT screen.
The base price for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 is 10,195 euros.
