The sidecar team Carl Cox Motorsport (LCR Kawasaki) leads the first free practice with a 1: 45.756. Team Streuer Sidecar Racing- Daalhuizen (LCR Suzuki) is second best with 1: 49.001 and Team Schlosser (Suzuki) is third best with 1: 49.409. Then on P4 the first BMW with Sattler Motorsport and a 1: 49.695. The fastest Yamaha team is Talens Racing with a lap time of 1: 53.828.
2nd free practice (11.8., 5:50 p.m.)
Carl Cox Motorsport (LCR Kawasaki) also dominated the 2nd free practice and was able to undercut himself with a 1: 45.639. Team Streuer – Daalhuizen (LCR Suzuki) is now ahead of Team Schlosser (LCR Suzuki) – 1: 46.620 with 1: 48.245. The best BMW team is Sattler Motorsport with a 1: 48.467, the best Yamaha team is the sidecar racing team Smits with a 1: 50.313.
1st timed practice (11.8., 5:50 p.m.)
The British from Team Carl Cox Motorsport have suffered an engine failure. They led the 1st and 2nd free practice with confidence, but they couldn’t even start in the qualifying. Bitter.
Team Schlosser has the best time with a 1: 45.571, Sattler Motorsport follows with 1: 47.714, Team Streuer – Daalhuizen with 1: 48.225. After leaving Team Carl Cox, the fastest Kawa team is now the Holden Racing Team with the fourth fastest time of 1: 48.514, the fastest Yamaha team is Sidecar Racing Team Smits with a lap time of 1: 50.858.

2nd timed practice (August 12, 12.25 p.m.)
The IDM Sidecar class also had bad luck with the weather in Assen’s 2nd qualifying: rain. Which is why no team could not beat the time from the first qualifying on Friday. All times, results and the starting grid are in the PDF link above “Training and racing results of the IDM Sidecar in Assen”.
1st race (Aug 12, 5:35 p.m.)
Markus Schlosser and then nothing for a while. Although he could afford a zero, that’s how big his lead in the overall standings is, the Swiss is not behind with his co-driver Thomas Hofer. The locals Bennie Streuer / Gerard Daalhuizen took command in the fourth round. The revenge was not long in coming and Schlosser was back in front. The air burned farther back as he worked on his ledge. A whopping three duels took place in the top ten.
In third place behind Streuer / Daalhuizen came another crew from the Netherlands: John Smits / Gunter Verbrugge. The defective witch struck again with the promising Germans Josef Sattler / Uwe Neubert. Because Andre Kretzer / Manfred Wechselberger also got no points, the overall stand is currently being thrown upside down. (Anke Wieczorek)
2nd race (13.8., 1.20 p.m.)
The Sattler Motorsport team, which was in second place in training, was unfortunately forced to give up the race due to irreparable engine damage. This then resulted in a clear issue for the Swiss Schlosser team in Assen as well. In the lead right from the start, the Swiss controlled the race at will in front of the Streuer team. In third place was AKW-Kretzer-Racing from Austria, after they had achieved fifth place on the grid in training. A small mistake by the Streuer team in the fifth lap helped Schlosser to increase the lead to 2.8 seconds. Then the distance increased lap by lap and Team Streuer could only watch as Team Schlosser secured victory with a lead of over eight seconds.
AKW-Kretzer Racing from Austria crossed the finish line in third place. The race ended somewhat curiously, as after the Schlosser team had already crossed the finish line in the chicane on the back straight, an accident occurred that resulted in the race being aborted. The result came from crossing the finish line in the twelfth of 13 laps.
Dieter Eilers’ team, like in Schleiz, also in Assen as a guest starter, placed 17th on the grid in training, but was classified in ninth position on Sunday.
At least Streuer set the fastest lap of the race with his courageous performance and a lap time of 1: 45.193. (Armin Juppenlatz)
