Again in MotoGP in 2018
Jonas Folger has extended his contract with Tech3-Yamaha and will also compete in MotoGP in the 2018 season.

Reason for joy for the currently only German rider in MotoGP. After his strong performance in the first five races, in which Jonas Folger was able to collect 38 points in the overall standings, Tech3-Yamaha and the MotoGP rookie have agreed on a contract extension. This means that Folger will also compete in MotoGP in 2018. Tech3-Yamaha had previously extended the contract with Folger team-mate Johann Zarco.
In the official press release from Tech3-Yamaha, Jonas Folger commented on the contract extension as follows: “I am really happy to be able to continue with Herve and the great Tech3 team. So far, I’ve been very happy with my performance, including the winter tests, but I know there’s more to me. I believe that we will see significant progress in the remainder of the 2017 season and the new 2018 season. I am excited to see what we can achieve together in the next few months. I would like to thank the boss and all Tech3 team members for what they have done for me so far. They trusted in me, which is why I will always give everything on the Yamaha YZR-M1.”
