As the American traffic safety authority NHTSA announced, must Kawasaki Recall 390 models of the new H2 SX / SE. On vehicles from model year 2018, a spring holder can break on the main stand because it may have been insufficiently welded. As a result, the spring that fixes the main stand in the folded position can hang out and the main stand can unintentionally fold down.

Stand components are exchanged

The US recall affects vehicles from the construction period December 2017 to April 2018 and from the chassis area from JKBZXVB10JA000006 to JKBZXVB10JA000605. The inquiry as to whether vehicles in Europe or Germany are also affected is already running.

In the worst case, the driver could lose control of his motorcycle and fall. When visiting the workshop, the attachments of the main stand should be checked and replaced if necessary. The modification was already introduced in production in August 2018.
