Kawasaki presented a revised version of the ZX-10-R at EICMA 2017 in Milan. The Kawasaki ZX-10R SE will be launched next year with a semi-active chassis.

The competition from Honda, Yamaha and Ducati has shown the way. Kawasaki is now following suit and has given its supersport top model ZX-10R a semi-active chassis that operates via stroke sensors on the fork and shock absorber, as well as on the basis of the other data supplied by the IMU (inertial measurement content) such as speed, gear, throttle position and many other parameters adjacent damping properties are modeled. Thanks to the new semi-active chassis, the damping properties can be adjusted more quickly.

Kawasaki has given the new Kawasaki ZX-10R SE three driving modes: Street, Race and an individually set configuration. In addition, Kawasaki equips the SE with some components of the ZX-10RR: Marchesini forged wheels and Quickshifter come from the sister model. Compared to the standard version, the new SE has gained a little weight. It weighs 208 kilograms, which is 2 kilograms heavier than the normal ZX-10R. The price: 22,995 euros (plus additional costs).

Technical data Kawasaki ZX-10R SE

Technical specifications: Four-cylinder in-line engine, 998 cm³, 147 kW (200 PS) at 13,000 rpm, 114 Nm at 11,500 Nm, aluminum bridge frame, weight with a full tank of 208 kilograms, tank capacity 17 liters, seat height 835 mm.
