The customizer Lord Drake Kustoms runs workshops in Miami (USA) and Malaga in Spain. The Sportster Seventy was created in Spain and was originally intended to be presented at the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in 2020. Then Corona came and the event was canceled. Now Lord Drake Kustoms boss Fran Manen has decided to produce the bike in a small series of ten copies. The first copy made in Spain goes to a German customer.

The basis for the conversion is one Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 883 Low from the year of construction 2005 and accordingly still equipped with carburettors. First of all, a newly shaped rear frame went to the Sportster. A new solo seat hump sits on it, which, together with a new tank, defines the new lines of the Seventy. A minimalist fender above the front wheel replaces the original fender. For the gear train itself, Manen switched from the standard cast rims to wire-spoke wheels from radios, which are equipped with coarse studs from the Conti shelf.

The otherwise standard V2 is helped by a Vance & Hines exhaust system and K&N air filter for more throughput. The fork received a new set-up, the rear stereo struts with reservoirs were specially configured for the Seventy. Tachometer and speedometer move from the steering head to the left of the V2. The conversion program is rounded off by new levers, a new handlebar, LED lights all around and a modified footrest system. The mandatory start number board sits in front of the handlebars – transparent and with integrated double headlights.

When it comes to color design, Lord Drake Kustoms builds a bridge to the 1970s and especially to the successful racing cars on the circuit and rally tracks, which competed in the legendary Martini design. The classic lines in red and blue run over the tank and seat hump. The brake calipers are painted red, the side number plates bear the number 70. Otherwise, large areas of black paint dominate. Only the gold-colored buttons on the handlebar fittings set further highlights here.

Many are beautiful, but also impassable.

Better to leave it in its original condition.
