Guzzi fans flocked to the traditional meeting at the plant in Mandello del Lario on Lake Como. As a thank you, Guzzi allowed a first look at two new models.

It’s actually unbelievable: only builds 9,000 motorcycles a year Moto Guzzi per year. And yet more than 30,000 motorcyclists came to the “Open House” at the plant on Lake Como on the weekend from September 7th to 9th, 2018, attracted by a unique mixture that the Italian manufacturer has to offer: there is the small, picturesque place Mandello on the lakeshore, whose inhabitants exude pure Guzzi passion.

On the other hand, the extensive factory premises are fascinating with the huge wind tunnel and the appearance of an industrial monument that brings the brand’s glory times back to life. In addition, the renowned Guzzi Museum with more than 150 exhibits and the modern hall with the current production are open to all visitors during the Open House days. On top of that, there are free test drives, with the V7 III Limited turning out to be the most popular model this year.
As a thank you for the numerous appearances, Moto Guzzi presented two new products to the fans who had traveled: Firstly, the V9 Bobber Sport, a model variant that should be available from dealers by the end of October. On the other hand, as the absolute highlight of the event, the eagerly awaited, most spectacular novelty of the house for next year: On a stage in the old wind tunnel, which has long been out of operation, Moto Guzzi presented the V85 TT, a classically styled street enduro in the style of the 80s Years, to be seen here for the first time live in their final appearance.
The novelty, of course powered by the traditional air-cooled V2, was constantly besieged, over 1,000 enthusiastic visitors booked a test drive on the spot. It will take a while before they can swing into the saddle: The V85 TT will only be launched in February 2019.
