The offroad experimental round

Tour tip

The Cadore Valley lies in the shadow of the tourist highlights of the Dolomites. While many are romping about on the Sella Ronda or getting to grips with the Drei Zinnen, Dirk Schafer saddles up on a very special hut tour.

The tour consists of approx. 25% off-road and 75% asphalt. The off-road passages are mildly graveled to challenging. The good thing: Individual branches of the off-road passages can be skipped and the remaining parts of the route can still be driven. Also watch out for the asphalt sections. In particular, the driveway from Lozzo to Pian dei Buoi is peppered with hairpin bends.

route: 206 km / Travel time: approx. 8 hours without breaks – 2 days with a stop and overnight stay (Rifugio Baion)
