Tour tip

This route is dedicated to the remote northern Vosges. It is a great introduction to what is waiting further south, offers a nice collection of highlights and is much less frequented than the central Vosges, even on busy days. Perfect for everyone who wants to discover new territory away from the hustle and bustle.

The highlights include Fleckenstein Castle with its column-like tower ruins, the Saint Louis Arzviller ship lift, the fine Col de Dabo and the panoramic spots at Rocher de Dabo and Mont Sainte-Odile. In between there are lots of small streets just waiting to be discovered.

Route length: approx. 240 kilometers / Travel time: approx. 5 hours (without breaks), several overnight stays in Wissembourg and La Petite Pierre
