For this reason, MOTORRAD reduced the 1000 point rating at the Alpine Masters to the criteria that are important in terms of driving dynamics, weighted relevant aspects more heavily and ignored less crucial elements in this regard.

Choice of motorcycles

Only motorcycles that are new for the current season or have at least been revised are allowed to compete in the Alpine Masters. The path to the goal is rocky and extremely selective. From the five groups – determined according to the conceptual alignment of the machines – only the respective winner qualifies for the final. After the preliminary rounds, the winning quintet will compete in the final on a lap of more than 300 kilometers against the defending champion from the previous year, in this case the BMW R 1200 GS Rally.
