Episode # 14 – Travel Enduro

Travel enduros are escape vehicles, they exude wanderlust and a spirit of adventure. But they are also popular all-rounders, sometimes status symbols, sometimes also blenders. This discrepancy begins with the term “Travel enduro”, which opens up a wide field of performance and weight. From the rustic single-cylinder Enfield with 25 hp to the Ducati Multistrada with 170 hp V4 drive. Test editor Johannes Muller and travel editor Ferdinand Heinrich-Steige are finally allowed to discuss their favorite topic in this episode. For both of them, enduro hiking and enduro travel is the most beautiful form of motorcycling. The conversation is an attempt to define terms, resolve misunderstandings and somehow justify the romantic fascination, whether near or far. Despite personal recommendations for the ideal adventure bike, it becomes clear that the material (whether old or new) is usually completely overrated and is only a means to an end. As always, the decisive factor is: do it!
