Conclusion in the MOTORRAD flip-up helmet test 8/2012: “The C3 is still an excellent flip-up helmet, but it is no longer the flip-up helmet reference – you can slowly tell it’s age.” Schuberth (Tel. 03 91/8 10 60, www.schuberth.com) probably similar and developed the unofficial successor Schuberth C3 Pro based on the C3.

What sounds like a slight facelift would go through with most other providers as a completely new design. Not entirely without good reason, because the helmet inner shell (due to shock absorption), ventilation, aerodynamics and acoustics have received a lot of innovations. And they are not only great in theory, but can also be experienced in practice.
The Schuberth C3 Pro is equipped as standard with a sun visor, removable upholstery, quick-release lock and two integrated antennas for Bluetooth and radio reception. A pinlock lens is included. The visor can be removed and re-attached without tools
On a 3,000-kilometer tour across Germany (high proportion of the motorway) plus crossing the Alps, the Schuberth C3 Pro showed what it can do: It is much quieter, lets in less noise, is significantly better ventilated and also a little more comfortable. From 595 euros, almost 100 euros more expensive than the Schuberth C3, which is still on offer, but noticeably better.
