BMW makes up half of the top 20

In February 2018, the big GS 506 had new registrations on its account, followed in second place by the Kawasaki Z 900 with 171 registrations and in third place was the BMW S 1000 RR with 146 registrations. Only 3 models behind is the Honda Africa Twin, whereby it would clearly overtake the Bavarian athlete if she were not supported by her commercial registrations.

The strongest KTM is currently the 1290 Super Duke R in 5th place, the 390 follows in 8th place and the 1290 Super Adventure in 18th place. In between there are BMW S 1000 R and R nineT Racer as well as Kawasaki Z 650, Yamaha MT-07 and Husqvarna 701 supermoto. The Bavarian family divides ranks 12 to 16 among themselves: R 1200 R, F 850 ​​GS, S 1000 XR, R 1200 RS and F 800 R make their way into the top 20 new motorcycle registrations with a large proportion of commercial registrations wide. And that’s still not it with BMW: The small G 310 R is in 19th place with 68 new registrations.This means that a total of ten BMW models are represented in the top 20, with none falling below 50 percent in the overall statistics (January + February 2018) comes with commercial approvals. We could put an exclamation mark here, but it’s not a surprise: In February 2017, BMW also dominated the top 20. Also with ten models.
