Punch Moto

Electric motorcycle from Belarus

Belarus is not necessarily considered the home of major motorcycle manufacturers. With the Punch Moto, a new electric motorcycle with a retro look is now waiting "Belarus" in the starting blocks.

Do you still remember the Pocket Rocket from Sol Motors, which we introduced some time ago and then tried out? The concept of the Punch Moto presented in this article is reminiscent of the Sol Motors electric bike, which has its origins in Swabia. In particular, the upper part of the frame is reminiscent of the Pocket Rocket. The two bikes also have other parallels. Both are driven by an electric motor and inspire with their retro look. In contrast to the Pocket Rocket, the electric motor of the Punch Moto is positioned more centrally. The battery is also where you would expect it. The frame of the Pocket Rocket is V-shaped – there is nothing where the engine is on a combustion engine. The battery was positioned in the upper tube.

Electric motor produces 20 hp

The Punch Moto’s engine has a standard output of 20 hp. For a short time, the electric motor can push the power to 33 hp to enable higher speeds up to a maximum of 120 km / h. There is also a second variant, which was developed for owners of the A1 driver’s license and produces 15 hp. The A1 version should master top speeds of up to 105 km / h. The easily removable battery block is attached to the side and consists of two rechargeable batteries that allow a maximum range of up to 110 kilometers. Accordingly, the manufacturer sees the bike’s primary area of application in the city.

It is still unclear whether and when the Punch Moto will celebrate its market launch.

The paintwork of the Punch Moto is white, red, blue and black. The white lacquered spoke rims fit in well with the overall picture. Otherwise, the Belarusian manufacturer has been reluctant to provide detailed information on Punch Moto. Accordingly, there is no information about when the bike should celebrate its market launch. There is also no information about the price. The fact that the company does not even have an official website yet shows that a market launch is still a long way off. So far Belarusians have limited themselves to social media when it comes to public relations.

Conclusion

The concept of the Punch Moto is coherent and could be especially suitable for people who are looking for a chic and everyday vehicle for the city. To do this, however, the bike would first have to be manufactured in small series, which has at least been questioned so far.
