As the QJ Racer 350, the small racing roll haunts the net and shows: The round emblem on the side panel at the level of the cylinder head would be perfect with the Benelli replaceable. However, new pictures of a possible successor to the Benilli 302R offered in Germany differ significantly from the QJ variant, which is said to come with a new 350 cubic twin. At Mit-Chinese Zontes, a 350 engine also seems to replace the well-known 300 twins.

The recognizable components such as the motor, frame and fork of the QJ Racer 350 are very reminiscent of those of the Benelli BN 302 offered in Germany: It drives a two-cylinder in-line with water cooling and four-valve technology and its housing and installation position in the supposed Racer 350 is the BN 302 already very close. From 300 cubic meters, the twin draws 38 hp at 11,000 revs and sends almost 26 Nm to a six-speed gearbox at 9,750 revs. A 350 version with over 40 hp and more than 30 Nm would be possible.

Despite the visual similarity of the frame of the BN 302, the swing arm and installation position of the Racer 350 differ significantly from QJ: The Racer 350 lacks the striking laterally positioned spring strut of the Benelli with its stylish tubular swing arm. It has a similarly curved gull wing swing arm , but is supported by a central spring strut on the steel frame and thus leaves the necessary space for the under-engine exhaust, related in the course and position of the Benelli. On the front there are again very comparable components: The silver-colored USD fork and the axially screwed-on brake calipers bite into double discs, controlled by ABS.

Conclusion

Benelli is very strategic in international model policy. Even in Europe there are not the same models in every market. In Germany there is the current 302R, while it does not appear in motherland China and it is also not offered in the supersport nation Great Britain.

A market-specific placement of different models also depends on the respective importer, who sometimes decides for himself what to offer and what not.
