The side stand can break
Ducati is recalling various models from the Multistrada 1260 family to the workshops. The side stand may break here under certain circumstances.

The current recall was initiated by the American traffic safety authority NHTSA. In the US market, the Multistrada 1260, 1260 S and Pikes Peak models from the 2018 model year are affected by the recall. A total of 493 motorcycles. On these models, the stand can break directly at the weld below the swivel joint.
Ducati
The owners of affected machines are invited to the workshops. There the side stand is checked and replaced if necessary. For the exchange are from Ducati calculated about 20 minutes. In the USA, the recall is scheduled to start in early January 2020.
The inquiry to Ducati Germany as to whether vehicles in Germany or Europe are also affected by this recall is ongoing.
