The fuel tank can leak
Because fuel can escape from the lower screw connection insert of the tank cover, KTM has ordered 1290 Super Adventure models from model years 2015 and 2016 back to the workshops.

KTM has produced the fuel tanks for these models using the rotary melting process. There may be deviations in the production process. As a result, an unwanted fuel leak can occur at the tanks of the affected models.

If fuel leaks, the tank is exchanged
KTM writes to all owners of affected models and invites them to the workshops with their motorcycle. The fuel tank is checked there. If a fuel leak can be determined, the fuel tank is replaced. If there is no fuel leakage, the affected area is additionally protected against any leaks by installing a retrofit kit.
Numbered in both cases KTM the duration of the workshop visit to 65 minutes. This campaign is free of charge for the customer.
