The number 1 eye-catcher are the spoke-less wheels.

It is technically possible to build a motorcycle with so-called orbital wheels.

Physically, however, they clearly lag behind classic spoked wheels and have therefore not caught on in vehicle construction.

Despite the electric drive, the gearshift lever in front of the footrest indicates a conventional gearbox.

Electric motorcycle with hubless wheels

Shane Baxley drew deceptively real images of his Baxley Moto on the computer – an electric motorcycle with hubless wheels.

It’s just computer drawings again, but they are absolutely worth seeing. Shane Baxley decided on a motorcycle with orbital wheels, i.e. wheels without a hub. A two-sided swing arm is connected to the inside of the bike at three points at the front and rear. The function of the wheel hub is taken over by the rim, so to speak. The technique was developed by an Italian designer named Franco Sbarro in the late 1980s.

Franco Sbarro’s two-wheeled visions are well-known concepts with spoke-less wheels. Sbarro used huge ball bearings instead of wheel hubs for his prototypes.

E-motorcycle with conventional manual transmission

The shift lever indicates a conventional manual transmission.

For this reason, probably nothing is known about the possibly fictitious technical data of the Baxley Moto. Except that it is electrically powered. A gearshift lever at the bottom in front of the left footrest, however, indicates that the electric motorcycle is one of the rare E-Concepts with a conventional manual transmission. Kawasaki is one of the few manufacturers that is offering the e-scooter with spokeless wheels

Ujet

The foldable designer electric scooter Ujet also rolls on orbital wheels, but unlike the Baxley Moto, it really does exist.

The conclusion follows another concept

If you plow through the mud with the short tail and the coarse tires in your mind, you can imagine, without much imagination, how the rear wheel hurls the pebbles forwards, directly in front of the visor. It’s a shame that we can’t test it out on a trip. We still like to look at the pictures.
