RideLink app for more driving fun and safety

With RideLink, a new app is being launched that aims to increase motorcyclists’ safety, simplify route planning and improve their own driving style with a driving analysis.

The RideLink package consists of the free Connect app and the paid WingMan module. The Connect app is available for Android and iOs in the respective stores.

The free RideLink app allows you to plan tours, drive suggested tours, upload your own tours, invite friends and follow all tour participants during the tour together. The experiences can then be shared in a community.

Full functionality only with an additional module

With the WingMan module, the RideLink functionality is expanded to include the emergency call already mentioned (currently available in numerous Western European countries). The system recognizes an accident and immediately starts the rescue chain. The exact location is automatically transmitted. When the theft protection is activated, the module monitors the location and any changes in location and issues an alarm. In tracking mode, all routes and the corresponding statistics (lean angles, acceleration, speed, …) are saved and later made available on the app for analysis. In addition, you can share your own location with friends and display selected driving data live on your smartphone.

The WingMan module, which is offered at a price of 399 euros, must be firmly connected to the motorcycle and to the 12-volt electrical system. The price includes the data rate for the first 12 months as well as the emergency call service for the first twelve months. Each subsequent year, both services together cost 29 euros. The module is equipped with its own GPS sensor and therefore does not need a connection to the smartphone.

Conclusion

Like many other providers, RideLink also offers tour planning, driving analysis and community. Things like an emergency call system or a theft tracker are chargeable.
