Start in India, Europe to follow in 2021
Royal Enfield is launching the brand new Meteor 350 as the successor to the Thunderbird 350 in India. The new model will also hit the European market in 2021.
With the introduction of the meteor expanded R.oyal Enfield is expanding its product portfolio with a new 350 model and at the same time draws an arc in its own history. Because: with the name Meteor, the new model inherits from another emblematic Royal Enfield motorcycle from 1952. The Meteor of the 1950s was a highly acclaimed motorcycle within the Royal Enfield family that built up its reputation over many years. The new Meteor 350 was developed by teams in India and the UK.
Single with 20 hp
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 uses a 349 cm³ air-cooled single cylinder with a balance shaft for more smooth running. For the Indian market, the manufacturer states an output of 20.4 hp and a maximum torque of 27 Nm. It hangs in a conventional tubular steel frame with a 41 mm telescopic fork and 130 millimeters of travel at the front and stereo struts at the rear. It is shifted by a five-speed gearbox.

A 19-inch cast wheel with a 300 brake disc rotates at the front. At the back there is a 270 mm disc on a 17-inch wheel. The seat height on the slightly stepped bench behind the 20 liter tank is 765 millimeters. Royal Enfield gives the dry weight at 191 kilograms. While only the daytime running lights on the front halogen headlights use LED technology, the rear light is fully LED-equipped.

In the cockpit there are two round instruments that prepare their displays in a mix of analog and LC displays. In India, a navigation system and a USB charging socket are standard on board. The India offer includes the three variants Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. Prices in India start at around 2,000 euros.
The European launch of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2021. Information on the European configuration and the European prices will be available at the beginning of December 2020.
Conclusion
The new Meteor 350 will succeed the old 500 models in Europe. Despite the modernized equipment, the new Meteor 350 also lives up to classic standards.
