The communication system fully integrated into the helmet – gooseneck microphone and loudspeaker are already built in – in the Sena Econo relies on Bluetooth technology. The range for the two-way intercom is specified as up to 800 meters. If you don’t want to talk but rather listen to music, you can use the integrated FM radio with ten station memories. An active noise filter should ensure clear communication even in the case of ambient noise. Of course, all other Bluetooth-enabled end devices can also be connected via Bluetooth.

With activated voice control of the mobile phone, both hands can stay on the handlebars and calls can still be accepted and made and the music controlled. The integrated communication system is operated via a jog-dial rotary switch on the right-hand side of the helmet. The integrated lithium polymer battery should enable an operating time of up to 15 hours. The battery is recharged in three hours via a micro USB cable.

With integrated sun visor

The ECE 22-05-tested jet helmet itself is based on a helmet shell made of Duroplast, which covers the sizes M, L and XL with two shell sizes. The Econo is equipped with a scratch-resistant clear visor and an internal sun visor. The sun visor can be operated using the slide on the left cheek. The breathable interior is removable and washable. The padded chin strap uses a ratchet quick release fastener.

The 1,700 gram Sena Econo jet helmet is available in matt black and glossy white at prices starting at 239 euros.
