New color design presented in Japan

Suzuki has presented new colors for the GSX-R 1000 super sports car in Japan. In addition to an anniversary color scheme, there are also two new basic color combinations.

In March 2020, Suzuki had the super sports car in its virtual presentation of the new models for the Tokyo Motorcycle Show GSX-R 1000 presented in a new color scheme. The new look of the superbike is once again based on the MotoGP racing machines, which are driven there by Alex Rins and Joan Mir. The Ecstar design remains, but this is combined with new colors.

The new model year of the GSX-R is now adorned with a wide gray central stripe that extends from the front fender to the rear. The areas above and below are kept in the typical Suzuki blue. The neon yellow elements previously used on the cladding have disappeared. Neon yellow stickers can only be found on the rim edge.

In addition to the anniversary color scheme, the super sports car is also getting two new standard colors. The blue version is even bluer and brand new is an almost completely black color scheme with red elements and silver lettering.

Technically, nothing seems to have changed for the new model year. MOTORRAD had already reported that the GSX-R in this generation of models will no longer be brought to Euro 5 level and will therefore disappear from European trade at the end of 2020. A new Gixxer will only be launched in the 2022 season.

The new color variants of the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 will initially be introduced in Japan. It is not certain whether these will also make it to Europe, but it is likely.

Conclusion

So that the great super athlete can build on old successes, more than just a new color is necessary.
