valuation

Country road / motorway: (133 points, 1st place) Pirelli remains true to its maxim with the brand new enduro tire and sends first-class sports soles for the GS class onto the slopes with the Scorpion Trail II. In the driving tests, the Italian tire made in Germany impressed with the best steering precision. It is just as outstanding with its high cornering stability, which literally encourages an extremely sporty driving style. The feedback for the existing custody reserves is also crystal clear, which is why the GS is angled into high inclines with confidence. The Conti is still a little bit more manageable, but the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II doesn’t bother you even at motorway speeds and bolts – whether solo or with a passenger and a load – stable over highways at top speed.

Wet test: (98 points, 1st place) Um, the score says it all. Only two counters are missing from the optimum. The Pirelli Scorpion Trail II “loses” against the group sister Tourance Next on the brakes, where Metzeler is slightly faster. Otherwise, the Pirelli shines like no other on a wet track. The grip performance is phenomenal, the gap to the runner-up is considerable.

Conclusion: Wow, this debut was a success. Pirelli’s brand new sole for the GS class couldn’t be better in dynamic mode. Top country road performance and this crazy show in the rain. Salute!

MOTORRAD verdict: 1st place – 231 points
